Meet the Characters!

Steven Universe

Steven is a half gem, half human. He is the main protagonist and a valued member of the Crystal Gems. His mother, Rose Quartz, gave up her physical form to make him. His gem is on his belly and his weapon is a shield.

Rose Quartz was the former leader of the Crystal Gems. She fell in love with a human named Greg Universe. Later, she shape shifted a womb and gave up her physical for to make her son, Steven. Her Gem is on her belly and her weapon is a shield.

Rose Quartz

Rubies are common soldiers on homeworld. This paticular Ruby is a member of the Crystal Gems and almost always stays fused with Sapphire as Garnet. Ruby's gem is on her left palm and her weapon is a gauntlet.

Ruby

Sapphire is a former Homeworld Gem and a member of the Crystal Gems. She is currentley fused with Ruby as Garnet. Sapphire's gem is on her right palm.

Sapphire

Garnet is one of the main protagonists in the series. She is the leader of the Crystal Gems. She is a fusion of Ruby and Sapphire. She never wants to be apart sepreately. She is not the best conversationalist and is straight foward about everything. Her gems are on her palms and her weapons are gauntlets.

Garnet

Amethyst is a member of the Crystal Gems. Made on earth, she stayed in the ground 500 years longer than she was suppost to be born, and she came out half the size of a normal quartz gem. She stayed in the kindergarten for a while, until Rose and the others found her. Her gem is on her chest and her weapon is a whip.

Pearl

Pearl is the lieutenant of Rose Quartz.

She is one of the Crystal Gems. She wants everything to be perfect and even. Pearl is graceful in everything she does. Her gem is on her forehead and her weapon is a spear.

Peridot

Lapis Lazuli

Lapis is a homeworld gem that was

imprisoned in a mirror for hundreds of years until she convinced Steven to free her. She was trapped at the bottom of the ocean fused with Jasper as Malachite in order to trap her there as long as possible. She currently is living in the barn with Peridot. Her gem is on her back and her weapon is hydrokinesis/water wings.

Jasper

Jasper is a homeworld gem that was assigned to escort Peridot to earth by Yellow Diamond. Jasper is large and heavily muscled like other quartz gems. She cares little for the earth and her comrades. She used to be held captive at the bottom of the ocean by Lapis Lazuli within the unstable fusion of Malachite. She became corrupted in "Earthlings" and currently resides bubbled in the burning room. Her gem is located where her nose should be and her weapon is a crash helmet.

Yellow Diamond

Yellow Diamond is a homeworld gem and a member of The Great Diamond Authority, a group of three, formerly four, diamond gems that rule homeworld. She cares nothing for the earth and wants it destroyed. Yellow Diamond is cold and cruel. Her gem is located on her chest.

Blue Diamond

Blue Diamond is a homeworld gem and a member of the Great Diamond Authority. She is quick to anger if one does wrong, as shown when she quickly decides to break Ruby's gem for accidently fusing with Sapphire, a former member of her court. Her gem is located on her chest.

Yellow Diamond's Pearl

Yellow Diamond's Pearl is Yellow Diamond's servant and receptionist. She takes pleasure in other's misfortunes as seen when she made a smug face when Yellow Diamond punished Peridot for her incoveniences. Her gem is on her chest

Blue Diamond's Pearl

Blue Diamond's Pearl is the servant of Blue Diamond. Not much is known about her since she only appeared once in a flashback and has never spoken. Her gem is on her chest.

Opal

Opal is a fusion of Amethyst and Pearl. She combines both Amethyst and Pearl's physical and magical attributes. Like Pearl, her movements are elegant and graceful. Combined with Amethyst's strength, they make an excellent fusion. Her weapon is a longbow.

Sugilite

Sardonyx is a fusion of Pearl and Garnet (by extension, Ruby and Sapphire).She acts decidedly theatrical while also being able to keep up intelligent conversation. She thinks very highly of herself and can be rather cocky at times, although she seems to also be considerate of other people as well as her surroundings. Despite this, Sardonyx is completely capable of being serious in dire situations. Her weapon is a war hammer.

Alexandrite

Alexandrite is a fusion of Garnet (and by extension Ruby and Sapphire), Amethyst, and Pearl. She often has split personalities due to the Crystal Gem's behavior towards each other being often unstable when combined. She is a terror on the battlefield as seen when she fought Malachite.

Rainbow Quartz

Not much is known about Rainbow Quartz, except that she is a fusion of Rose Quartz and Pearl. She appears to be elegant and graceful in her movements.

Malachite

Malachite is a fusion of Lapis Lazuli and Jasper. Lapis fused with Jasper as part of her plan to trap Jasper at the bottom of the ocean for as long as possible. She is a fusion fuled by anger and hate.

Stevonnie

Stevonnie is a hybrid fusion of Steven and his human friend Connie. They often feel alone when fused, but together. Stevonnie's gender is unknown.

The Cluster and Cluster Gem Prototypes

Cluster Gems are gem shards forced to fuse together. In the eyes of the Crystal Gems, gem shard being forced to fuse isn't right. In the mantle of the earth, The Cluster is incubating and will be much larger than the Earth when it emerges, destroying the planet. Peridot defied Yellow Diamond's wishes by attempting to terminate the Cluster. The Cluster is currently bubbled in the earth's mantle.

Bismuth

Bismuth is one of the original members of the Crystal Gems. Before the end of the Rebellion, she and Rose had a conflict of interests, leading to them falling out. This ultimately lead to her being poofed, bubbled, and left inside of Lion's Dimension. Bismuth is boisterous, fierce, determined, empathetic, and emotive. She is not afraid to speak and act her mind. While Bismuth cares deeply for her friends, she also harbors an immense hatred for Homeworld elites - specifically the Diamond Authority.

Smoky Quartz is a fusion between Steven and Amethyst. As a fusion, Smoky Quartz adopts Steven's and Amethyst's personalities. In this case, Smoky Quartz has a somewhat cocky, carefree, and proud attitude. They also have a humorous and relaxed side to their personality with a tendency to make jokes, even in the heat of battle.
